I went to my first PCC in 2012 (when it was still Phx Comic Con) and I saw people in costume. At first, I just thought it was people dressing up and that was cool. I didn't really understand what it was because it was just surface level, first impressions.

But then, I saw the Arizona Avengers and I was really into how they were doing it to help out the local community. They were doing something bigger than themselves, helping out those who needed it, and I was in awe.

And I've been in since. I really love how selfless and supportive the charity cosplay community is.
